On behalf of the Town Mayor & Mayoress, Councillor Peter & Valerie Goodchild, I would like to thank the Galaxy Big Band most sincerely for providing the music at the Charity Ball held at the Delphi Club, Sudbury. The evening was a huge success and there were many comments on how wonderful you were.

Thank you for the fantastic evening you gave everyone at our charitable "1940's" event in Bishops Stortford. The music was a knockout and was an inspiration for those who danced, or for those less energetic souls who were happy to sit and watch. Thank you for everything the band did to contribute to a great evening.

I attended the Kimbolton Country Fayre (with my classic car) and I was blown away by the Galaxy Big Band and Val Sinclair's incredible talent for singing. It was a joy to watch and looked like everybody was having a good time in spite of the weather. I also enjoyed the dancing by the Rug Cutters and the pleasure on their faces was enough encouragement for me to pick up a flyer and persuade my wife to maybe try out the Lindyhop classes. I look forward to the release of your CD and hope it comes along soon; we will be monitoring the upcoming events to hear you again. Paul Webber

It was like stepping onto the film set of an evening out in the 1940's. Camouflage netting, flags and posters decked the hall and the audience looked splendid in 40's clothes and various uniforms. The floor was packed with dancers throughout the evening and there were some wonderful displays of the lindyhop and jitterbug. The following was emailed to the band. "Hi there, just to say that my friends and I had a great night out at Risby. We loved it, the music was good and the band looked 'ace'; they are really good so please let me know when you are putting on a similar event because we all want more, but take care now, we have to learn to lindyhop and foxtrot - whoopie! Needless to say and, as anticipated, the Band took the evening by storm and we were all delighted to have you back here again. Your music was truly enjoyed and appreciated and it is no exaggeration to say that "where did you get that fantastic band"? was a question I had to answer a dozen times. .....how much everyone enjoyed the Galaxy Big Band at our Banquet and Ball last Saturday. As soon you got into the first number, I was thrilled by the sound, both in quality and style. You were the highlight of the evening and I'm sure you could tell how much the music and singing were enjoyed by just looking at the crowded dance floor, full until the end of the last session around 1.00am!!
